Jesus & Salvation
Jesus
Who is He?
Nothing changes us more than our understanding of Jesus Christ, especially as this determines our relationship with Him.
Jesus’ claims about himself were revolutionary, and in the end, where the cause of his death. While he was a “good man” as many accept, his claims to be God are shocking to the core. We are left with three alternatives:
1. He was a madman, OR
2. He was a liar, OR
3. He was God.
Why did He come?
“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation”
(Colossians 1:15)
Jesus asked his friends “Who do you say that I am?”. Today he asks you and me the same question.
Jesus said, “My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” (John 10:10)
So why don’t we automatically have a “rich and satisfying life”? It’s simple: we are dead; spiritually dead.
Dead to God, and unable to connect with Him. As hard as it is to acknowledge, our own behaviour and sin has separated
us from God.
So, as the solution, Jesus offers us eternal life. He saves us from the consequences of our behaviour.
He gives Life …. rich and satisfying now, and eternal life that goes beyond death.
Salvation
After reading the above we must ask “What must I do to be saved?” Paul’s jailer asked him this very question. The answer was simple, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:30)
So how do you do that? Jesus answers that question in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” So we must believe that “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
If you want to find abundant life, eternal life as offered by Jesus, it is just a matter of praying and asking him to give it to you:
Dear God,
I’m praying this prayer because I know that I have done wrong. Please forgive me for all the things I have done wrong in the past.
Jesus, I now put you as Lord of my life. Please keep me focused on the plans you have for me, and I will obey.
I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and now He is Lord over my life.
Thank you for saving me. Thank you that I am now a Christian.
Amen
Congratulations! We’re so excited for you. We’d love to hear if you made a decision. Please let us know by filling out the details below.

Giving
But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.
Isaiah 32:8
Generosity is the foundation of our giving.
At Sapphire Life we embrace irrational generosity. God’s generosity to us, makes no (human) sense. Having been given everything we need, and so much more, we reflect this back into our giving to others. We give because God gave first! (John 3:16)
Your generosity is changing lives.
God has called us to introduce Jesus to the Sapphire Coast. All our funds are focused to this goal. And your generosity makes you our partner into this journey.
Financial integrity matters to us
Sapphire Life Church values financial integrity. As an Incorporated Association in NSW, an Australian Registered Charity, and a member of Australian Christian Churches, there are strict guidelines for our accounting and the auditing of our finances.

Sapphire Life Building Fund
What is the value in owning our own building?
The purpose of our own building is twofold:
1. Sapphire Life Church’s main ministry and outreach to the community for the past 5 years has been through Sapphire Life Opportunities, our charity.
This is currently housed in the Main Street of Merimbula and serves as the following:
• a food pantry
• a community hub and connection centre through: children’s programmes, adult groups, an informal meeting centre to name a few.
It also serves as a space for the senior Pastor of the Church .
As a result of the ever-increasing demands by both the community, the charity and the church, plus exciting new projects in the pipeline that aim at benefiting everyone in the community , we need a bigger space.
We also are looking for something that we can adapt to our purposes, and which can grow as we grow.
After all, as the saying goes ‘Rent money is dead money!'
Paying rent to house both our charity as well as our church services may not be the optimal use of our money.
So prayerfully, our proposal is that Sapphire Life Opportunities will buy a building, as it will be the main user, and Sapphire Life Church will rent space from it .
Because Sapphire Life Opportunities is a registered tax deductible gift recipient, all donations toward our building fund are 100% tax deductible.
If you’d like to make a donation to our building fund, our bank account details are below:
